Welcome to the Master of Science in Environmental Architecture
A number of study streams will be available for architects with an interest in certain specialised areas. Some units are available as short courses via RISE. What is environmental architecture and why is it important? This course is designed to provide graduate architects with a sound training in state-of-the art principles of environmental architecture taking into account the art, science, technology and philosophy of ecologically sustainable building design. The course teaches, in a holistic manner, the key aspects of both the art of architecture and the science of climatology and ecologically sustainable building technology. A dissertation/thesis provides the opportunity for students to develop and apply their skills to real architectural problems. Career ProspectsA global shortage of architects with the training to properly design imaginative solutions for ecologically sustainable buildings means employment prospects will be high for graduates from the program. Course OutlineRefer to the University Handbook for detailed course information: Why choose Murdoch to do this Degree?
