Energy Studies Undergraduate ScholarshipsInformation for TeachersMurdoch University's Energy Studies Program is pleased to announce undergraduate scholarships to encourage and assist highly able students to undertake our undergraduate Energy Studies course in 2009. Over the past 30 years, Murdoch University has built up an international reputation for the quality of its teaching and research. To encourage Energy Studies students, Energy Studies Scholarships worth up to $4,000 over four years (honours) are being offered to full-time students beginning their Murdoch BSc in Sustainable Energy Management degree in 2009. These Energy Studies Scholarships are competitive, and applicants will be assessed and ranked on their motivation, initiative, desire to do Energy Studies and competence in Year 12, assisted by your recommendation and their school-based assessment this year. A minimum Tertiary Entrance Rank of 90 will normally be expected and their sincere desire to study Energy Studies at Murdoch should be shown by assigning their first preference on their TISC application to Energy Studies at Murdoch University. Could you please encourage any potential candidates amongst your students to complete the enclosed application form, including your name as a referee? We will acknowledge all applications and will request further information from you for selected students. Another teacher is welcome to be included as a referee, if they are also familiar with the student's work in Years 11 or 12. Applications close on Friday 26th September 2008. We will notify students and referees soon after whether they are short listed to receive a scholarship. We appreciate your time and willingness to inform your students about the Energy Studies Scholarships. Please note that they are being offered in addition to the generic Murdoch University Undergraduate Scholarships, and have different criteria, as outlined in the application form.
