Engineering

Engineering has established a very close relationship with industry, and our courses are a direct response to industry needs. The engineering courses provide a strong cross-disciplinary foundation with common first and second years. In the third year, students can choose up to two specialisations from instrumentation and control, industrial computer systems, renewable energy, and electrical power. Teamwork and problem solving are emphasised throughout the course to prepare students for industry. In the final year, students choose to undertake a supervised internship in an engineering company or to become part of a research team at the university. Most of our students are offered employment prior to graduation.
