Renewable Energy Engineering (BE)
Course Code: B1188
Renewal Energy Engineering focuses on the use of sources of energy which do not result in long term reduction, or loss, of our earth's resources. It is concerned with developing efficient means of tapping these energy sources and transforming the energy into useful forms that can be easily used for the full range of domestic and industrial applications. Graduates will be expected to design, commission and test a wide range of renewable energy systems, including solar thermal, photovoltaic, wind based and biomass systems. The course requires an in-depth study of a range of mathematics, computing and engineering fundamentals, combined with a full range of studies in the necessary specialist subject areas. This is complemented with studies in management, accounting, economics and law.
